Dressage Stallions

Dark Fire

Dark Fire was the celebrated 2005 Vice State Champion of 3 year old stallions and was then nominated for the Bundeschampionat. This 2nd Reserve Champion Stallion from the Oldenburg approvals did a fantastic job at his 30 day test in Münster-Handorf, where he received an 8.5 or better for all gaits, an 8.75 for rideability and 9.25 for interior values.

Dark Fire is a beautifully formed, strongly accelerating but always relaxed moving stallion who is an honor to the memory of his sire and dressage legend Donnerhall, who many believe has single handedly reshaped the dressage breeding world.

Donnerhall has 58 licensed sons and 63 State Premium Mares, foal and mare show winners, Federal Championship winners, Stallion Performance test winners, top priced auction horses and he and his successful sons are regularly top of the FN breeding values. In 1986 Donnerhall was the DLG champion in Hanover, two years earlier Manheim he was crowned German champion, team World Champion and individual bronze medal winner in The Hauge, Karen Rehbein. In 1997 he won the team gold medal and individual bronze at the European Dressage Championships in Verden. In 1998 he was once again included in the German team who won team gold in Rome where Donnerhall placed fourth in the individual. Donnerhall won many major championships in the dressage arena including victory in the World Cup European League, in 1997 and 1998 Donnerhall was also crowned stallion of the year for the Oldenburg studbook.

Guarantees for rideability and a will to perform also come from such sires as Feiner Stern (winner of the Oldenburg main premium) and Aktuell on Dark Fire`s dam`s side. Dark Fire comes >from one of the most significant dam lines in Oldenburg breeding: the Weissena line (by Folkert-Goldengel). This line is known for the licensed stallions, Bordolino, Canaster I and Canaster II (both Intermediaire I), D`Amour (2004 Vice Bundeschampion of five year old dressage horses), Dartagnan, Triumphator (Grand Prix), Top of Class (Oldenburg Champion Stallion), Vivaldi (St. Georges), Lord Liberty G (winner of the main premium in Oldenburg) as well as the former Bundeschampion Friesengeist, alias Heisman.
